Continuing from my previous post on Finding Pokemon Nest in Kuala Lumpur with Big Data, I would share some of my findings. After analysing 100,000 of sightings data, I were able to track down some Pokemon nests in Klang Valley (Kuala Lumpur & Selangor). Don’t ask me why there live there, it puzzled me as well.
Many trainers hunt down a Pikachu for its cuteness factor, but this little monster offers a significant interest to others as well. When evolved, Raichu, the electric-type Pokemon seem to be pretty rare around here.
The best place to catch this cutie is at Taman Jaya (next to Amcorp Mall). Try to explore south-east corner of the park, data shows they are hiding there.
There is also quite some sightings (every 1-2 hours) detected inside Sunway Pyramid, but it might be harder to catch one especially when mobile phone’s GPS don’t work well indoor. Try exploring at the south-east corner of the mall as well.
Electabuzz is a feline Pokemon with large stripe on its chest with shape like a lightning bolt cat lives at Taman Tasik Shah Alam (beside Komplex PKNS). Puzzled me why an electric charged monster like living next to water pond.
This native looking creature Cubone, chooses Desa Park City to be their home nest. They are more concentrated in the center, as if they are the original native residents there. So the next time you bring your dog for a walk there, don’t forget to check if you bump into one.
Shellder, has two round white eyes with tiny black pupils. It has an enormously long red tongue, which it uses to burrow itself into sand and to lure and capture prey. Capturing this Pokemon is essential for it to evolve into Cloyster, a UFO like Pokemon with an evil looking face.
During my scan, I notice quite some Shellder spawned at the park opposite 1U New Wing, Central Park One Utama. Not many, but worth to try there, you just might have to wait for it.
Good news for those living in Klang. There is a nest scattering at North Port, Klang
Jynx’s humanoid women like appearance has created much attraction lately (mostly funny ones), especially in Malaysia’s social media.
As funny it may seems, this Pokemon chooses to stay at Cyberjaya, in particularly Taman Tasik Cyberjaya. So the next time you went for jogging there, you’re surely will bump to this mama monster.
However, if you do not wish to travel too far away from Petaling Jaya to find her, I noticed this interesting spawn spot that you might bump into her. Is at the corner of Jalan PJS 11/9 (nearby myBurgerlab HQ Sunway). She might come out for a quick snack every 2-3 hours. *Please take note, time above is the time she disappear, please buffer arrive there at least 15min earlier (e.g: 8:30pm).
Have you spotted any of these rare Pokemon in any other areas? Let us know in the comments so we can add them in!
